Privacy policy
How SAKURA GROUP SRL handles the personal data you entrust to it through this site and in the commercial relationship that follows, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data controller
SAKURA GROUP SRL, Boulevard Brand Whitlock 154, 1200 Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Belgium — company number 1012.096.218.
Contact: info@sakurion.com — +32 491 55 00 88.
Data protection contact
SAKURA GROUP SRL has not appointed a data protection officer: its processing does not meet the conditions set out in Article 37 GDPR. Every question about your data goes to info@sakurion.com and is handled by the company itself.
The data we process, and where it comes from
Through the form on this site: your name, your clinic or company, a business email address, a phone number if you choose to give one, the country you operate in, the device you are interested in, and your message. We also record the language of the page you used and the moment you sent the form.
Through our exchanges afterwards: the content of your emails, calls and meetings, quotations and commercial documents, and, if you order, billing, delivery and installation data together with the support history of your device.
We do not ask for and do not want health data or any other special category of personal data. This site is addressed to professionals: we do not collect data about your own clientele.
We do not store your IP address. It is turned into an irreversible fingerprint the moment your request arrives, used only to stop the form being flooded, and discarded within minutes.
Purposes and legal bases
Answering a request for a quotation, a demonstration or information: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry.
Enrolment in and follow-up of a Sakurion Academy course: performance of the training contract.
Ordering, delivery, installation and invoicing: performance of the contract and our accounting and tax obligations.
Support, warranty and service commitments: performance of the contract.
Commercial follow-up of an existing business relationship: legitimate interest — you may object at any time.
Unsolicited job applications received by email: pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
We do not send a newsletter. Should that change, your prior consent would be requested and every mailing would carry an unsubscribe link.
Recipients and processors
Your data is handled by the SAKURION team. It is never sold, and it is never passed to third parties for marketing.
The following providers process it on our behalf and under our instructions: Vercel (site hosting, Frankfurt region), Neon (enquiry database, Frankfurt), Odoo (customer relationship management and invoicing, an instance operated by SAKURA GROUP SRL and hosted within the European Union) and Resend (delivery of notification and confirmation emails).
Where an order requires it, the strictly necessary data is shared with the carrier and the installer, with our accountant, with our bank and, if you apply for financing, with the finance partner you have chosen.
Transfers outside the European Union
Your data is stored within the European Union. Some providers (Vercel Inc., Resend Inc.) are established in the United States: those transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it and, failing that, by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Enquiries that lead nowhere: five years from our last contact, then deletion. Any exchange restarts that period.
Customers: for the duration of the contractual relationship and the warranty, then ten years under the contractual limitation period.
Accounting and tax records (accepted quotations, invoices, contracts): the statutory period required of Belgian companies, seven years at minimum and ten years for certain tax obligations.
Job applications: twelve months after the last contact.
Security
Exchanges with the site are encrypted (TLS). Access to data is limited to the people who need it, protected by authentication, and the providers named above are bound by a data processing agreement compliant with Article 28 GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability. Write to info@sakurion.com to exercise them; our Data deletion page describes the erasure procedure. We reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — contact@apd-gba.be.
